Great to meet you!

**PLEASE message me if you need a different appointment time-we can find a time that will work for you!

My name is Daniel Crowell, and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a Master of Science in Nursing from Husson University and 16 years of experience in the mental health field. I work with adults and seniors, and I bring the perspective that only deep, sustained clinical experience can provide.

My focus areas span a wide range of conditions: depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, ADD/ADHD, bipolar disorder, anger management and impulse control, alcohol and substance use, chronic conditions, sleep disorders, stress, grief and bereavement, and trauma. Whatever you're navigating, I've likely worked with it — and I bring the knowledge and steadiness that comes with years of doing this work.

I believe that mental health care works best when it's a true partnership — one built on trust, shared goals, and the understanding that you are the expert on your own life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to each individual. The foundation of everything I do is the therapeutic relationship — I believe that a strong alliance between client and provider is not just a nice-to-have; it is the engine of real change.

I draw on a range of proven therapeutic modalities, selecting and blending approaches based on what each person needs. Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) keeps our work grounded in possibility — what's working, what the client wants, and what concrete steps will move them toward it. Motivational Interviewing meets clients where they are, especially those navigating ambivalence about change. Behavior Modification Therapy and Problem-Solving Therapy (PST) provide structured, practical tools for shifting patterns and tackling the real-life challenges that contribute to distress.

I also use Brief Dynamic Therapy for clients who benefit from exploring how past experiences and relational patterns are shaping current struggles — bringing depth and insight to complement the more action-oriented work.

Throughout everything, I am guided by the latest evidence-based practice standards — and by a firm belief that clients who are active participants in their care get better outcomes

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect to be heard — genuinely, thoroughly, and without judgment.

We'll talk about what's brought you in, what you've been experiencing, and what you're hoping to achieve. I'll ask questions to understand your history, your current challenges, and your goals — and I'll begin to share my thinking about what might help. By the end of our first meeting, we'll have begun to set goals together and outline a path forward.

You'll leave with a clearer sense of direction, a treatment plan that feels like yours, and — I hope — a genuine sense of hope that things can get better.

After 16 years in this field, I've seen people make remarkable progress. With the right support and a real commitment to the work, change is possible — and it's what I show up to help create every single day.
