Great to meet you!

I work actively with adults to address depression, anxiety, addiction, and trauma so they can live more fulfilling lives. My approach is nonjudgmental and practical, in which I combining evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care.

I understand that reaching out for support can be overwhelming, especially after carrying pain for a long time. Whether you’re feeling stuck in depression, overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling with addictive behaviors, or processing difficult life experiences, we will work together to identify underlying causes and create effective strategies to greatly reduce or eliminate painful symptoms.

Together, we work to uncover patterns that no longer serve you, build healthier coping strategies, and strengthen your resilience and sense of self. My clients appreciate that I balance deep listening and empathy with concrete tools they can use right away in their daily lives.

I look forward to connecting.

My approach to therapy

Dr. Cunningham focuses on client relationships, developmental history, and the willingness to change. Psychological, emotional, and physical engagement in the world are strongly encouraged. He uses an eclectic approach, including psychodynamic, family systems, and differentiation modalities. Dr. Cunningham provides consultation to schools and community organizations.
