Great to meet you!

I'm a second-generation Ilokano immigrant, born and raised in Tiipai/southern Kumeyaay territory (south San Diego, CA). I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College and my Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan. Outside of work, I enjoy Mother Nature, crafting, martial arts, improvisational comedy, random trivia, and baking copious amounts of pastries.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I offer strengths-based, healing-centered, culturally-responsive, and trauma-informed care for individuals, families, or groups. I specialize in assisting the healing journeys of People of Color, LGBTQIA folx, those experiencing work-related stress, teens and people with histories and experiences of trauma. I incorporate transformative justice, embodiment, and the healing power of humor into my practice.

What you can expect from our first session

I approach therapy as a collaboration. My process includes history-taking during our initial sessions, exploring issues as we continue to meet, and homework, such as practicing coping skills and implementing skills from therapy. Therapy is not forever; when we start to notice patterns of healthy coping and a diminished impact of trauma on your daily life, therapy can come to an end.
