Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience across inpatient psychiatry, crisis stabilization, substance use treatment, residential care, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient medication management. My background has given me the opportunity to work with individuals facing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, substance use concerns, mood instability, sleep problems, and life transitions.

Clients often describe my style as calm, direct, supportive, and easy to talk to. I believe mental health care should feel collaborative, respectful, and practical. My goal is to help clients better understand what they are experiencing, explore treatment options, and build a plan that supports real improvement in daily life.

I have a strong interest in treatment-resistant depression, interventional psychiatry, and evidence-based medication management, while also recognizing that each person’s story, goals, and values matter just as much as symptoms or diagnoses.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I take time to understand the full picture, including symptoms, stressors, medical history, past treatments, lifestyle, relationships, strengths, and goals. I believe the best treatment plans are created with the client, not simply given to them.

When medication is appropriate, I focus on clear education, thoughtful prescribing, safety, and ongoing monitoring. I want clients to understand why a medication may be recommended, what benefits to look for, what side effects to watch for, and how we will measure progress together.

I also incorporate supportive therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral strategies, trauma-informed care, and practical coping skills when helpful. My goal is not only symptom reduction, but helping clients feel more stable, confident, functional, and hopeful in their everyday lives.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a supportive and nonjudgmental conversation where we take time to understand what brought them in, what they are hoping to improve, and what support they need. I will ask about symptoms, history, medications, sleep, stress, safety, and past treatment experiences. Together, we will identify goals and begin developing a personalized treatment plan. My approach is collaborative, practical, and focused on helping clients feel heard, understood, and hopeful about the next steps in their care.
