Great to meet you!

I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma and healing, loss and grief, and relationship and parenting challenges. In addition to my training as a therapist, my practice is informed by my many years as a teacher, as well as by my life experience as a husband and father.

My approach to therapy

Active engagement and deep empathic listening are hallmarks of my work. Therapy is a unique endeavor; it is a space in which to explore your essential self and be received with nonjudgmental empathy. This allows us to proceed on a journey toward a more fulfilling life. I would be excited and honored to accompany and support you on that journey.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will take time to discuss the therapy process and begin to formulate goals for our work. I will listen carefully to your hopes and intentions for our work. Also, I will ask various questions to gather background information on your current situation, relevant family and relationship history, and your previous experience with therapy (if any). This session will allow us to get to know each other as we begin our work together.
