Daniel Linhares

Daniel Linhares, MD is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s–West, a residency at New York Medical College–Westchester Medical Center, and received training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the New York Medical College Psychoanalytic Institute. He strongly believes in the importance of incorporating psychotherapy into the treatment mix, whether used alone or in combination with medication, and integrates this approach into his clinical work.

Daniel Linhares specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, stress, and ADHD, and provides psychodynamic psychotherapy. Clients typically begin treatment with psychotherapy, with or without the addition of medication, depending on individual needs and goals.
