Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Austin! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with individuals navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, anger, and major life stressors. My approach is warm, direct, and practical, to create a supportive space while helping you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and develop practical tools for change. I tailor counseling to each person’s unique needs, values, and goals, and for clients who desire it, I’m also comfortable incorporating Christian faith into the counseling process.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered, and practical. I primarily draw from Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while incorporating other approaches based on each client’s individual needs and goals. I believe in creating a space where clients can speak openly without judgment, while also being willing to challenge patterns that may be keeping them stuck. Together, we’ll work toward greater self-awareness, healthier coping strategies, and meaningful changes that extend beyond the therapy room.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know one another and completing the initial intake process. We’ll discuss what brought you to counseling, relevant background and experiences, current concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals for counseling and developing a plan that fits your individual needs. There’s no expectation that you have everything figured out before you arrive—the first session is an opportunity for us to understand where you are and where you’d like to go.
