Great to meet you!
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with 31 years of experience, privileged to have worked with thousands of clients over the years. I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and received post-graduate training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy from one of the original founders of CBT, Don Meichenbaum, PhD. I have worked in a variety of behavioral health settings including residential treatment centers, community based counseling clinics and large health system (Mayo Clinic) outpatient clinics. For the last 7 years, I have supervised the Northwest Wisconsin psychotherapist team for Mayo Clinic Health System. I work with adults ages 18 and up, providing individual, family, and marital/joint psychotherapy. I'm primarily a cognitive behavior therapist, but also utilize solution-focused, motivational interviewing, and schema therapy approaches in my practice. I would describe my style of working with others as affirming, empowering, solution focused, challenging, and always personable.
