Great to meet you!

I started working in mental health in 2001. In 2013, I obtained my masters and began practicing therapy with adults. I am experienced working with neurodivergent populations with diagnosis such as Autism, ADHD, Schizophrenia and Bipolar. As someone who identifies as neurodivergent myself, I am inspired by the neurodiversity movement, the celebration of neurological difference as a natural and integral part of humanity. I also run parent support groups for parents with neurodivergent children.

My approach to therapy

I approach every client with an open mind and heart, knowing that everyone has a unique neurological wiring and therefore their needs will differ. I strive to be compassionate and present focused. I utilize mindfulness, EMDR and somatic experiencing to address trauma, depression, anxiety and other mental health challenges. I am neurodiversty-affirming, anti-racist, and LGBTQI affirming. I integrate sound and music into my therapy when appropriate. I have an intuitive style.

What you can expect from me

Clients can come away from a session with me feeling heard. I am easy going, but offer feedback when appropriate. I strive not to over insert myself, but can be directive when necessary. I strive to keep dialogue open and honest, always learning from a client's feedback as to what is helpful, and what is not. I am strength-based, so I am always looking to support you in building from your own resilience. I want to support you to connect to your authentic self!
