Great to meet you!

My clinical experience includes training in community mental health, primary care, outpatient clinics, and college counseling settings. I completed my pre- and post-doctoral training at California State University, Monterey Bay. I am a first-generation college student who earned my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Purdue University Northwest, followed by my Master’s and Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degrees in Clinical Psychology from Adler University in Chicago.

I take an integrative approach to therapy, using cognitive-behavioral, relational, psychodynamic, and Adlerian interventions tailored to each individual. I offer a holistic perspective to help clients understand their mental health through contextual, social, and biological influences, utilizing individualized, evidence-based approaches to fit each client's specific clinical needs. Clients working with me are supported, encouraged, and challenged throughout the therapeutic process to build awareness of their patterns and make goal-aligned changes.

I have a passion for working with the LGBTQ+ community, as well as supporting adults across various life stages with interpersonal concerns, identity development, trauma, neurodiversity, depression, and anxiety. I am licensed to practice in California and Illinois.

My approach to therapy

I utilize various evidence-based therapeutic approaches, ranging from cognitive-behavioral therapy to psychodynamic therapy. Recognizing that every individual experiences unique contextual factors influencing their mental health, I tailor my education and training to meet each client's specific needs. At the core of my approach is the exploration and understanding of a client's cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal functioning. This includes examining how historical and cultural backgrounds, intersectional identities, and lived experiences shape day-to-day life.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, I focus on learning about the experiences that led the client to seek therapy. I engage clients in exploring their cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and social patterns to better understand their specific challenges. This initial meeting also serves as a low-pressure space to review confidentiality, answer logistics questions, and evaluate mutual fit. Together, myself and the client establish clear therapeutic goals, ensuring the client leaves with a transparent roadmap for their work ahead.
