Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dan Strang, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I help people work through depression, anxiety, stress, substance use, trauma, and major life changes. My style is collaborative and encouraging-I’ll support you, challenge you when needed, and guide you toward the goals that matter most to you. I use CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing in a trauma-informed, person-centered way. Together we’ll build practical skills, increase insight, and create real change you can feel in your daily life.

My approach to therapy

In my practice, therapy is a team effort-we work together to help you build confidence, gain clarity, and create meaningful change in your life. You’ll learn skills you can actually use-whether that means managing stress, setting boundaries, improving relationships, or staying grounded in recovery. Therapy with me is supportive, down-to-earth, and empowering, so you can move forward with confidence and a stronger sense of self.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know you-what brings you in, what you’ve been carrying, and what you want life to feel like moving forward. I take a relaxed, conversational approach so you don’t feel rushed or pressured. Together, we’ll start clarifying your goals, discuss what support looks like for you, and begin outlining a plan that feels realistic and achievable. You can expect a calm, judgment-free space where you can be honest, ask questions, and move at a pace that feels comfortable. The goal of the first session is to start building a working relationship based on trust, safety, and genuine collaboration.
