Great to meet you!

I am trained in a double specialization of clinical and school psychology and have worked with individuals across the lifespan including children, adolescents, as well as young, middle, and older adults. My professional experiences have included work within community, legal, and hospital settings. I also teach part-time for various universities across the midwest and east coast.

My ideal clients are those who are suffering from anxiety, shame, depression, substance use problems, anger management difficulties, or more severe challenges such as psychosis. I also work particularly well with those who are psychologically-minded (i.e., those who are self-reflective) or are seeking to build upon their psychological health.

My approach to therapy

In a modern world where it is easy to lose touch with ourselves and others, I believe it is important to create a compassionate environment through being authentic, warm, and nonjudgmental. From this space, I offer a collaborative relationship through which I am committed to helping you move toward whatever it is that matters most to you. My ideal clients are those who are suffering from anxiety, shame, depression, substance use problems, anger management difficulties, or more severe challenges such as psychosis. I lean heavily on my training from a cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic background. I believe the blending of these two approaches provides the most flexible and optimal approach for meaningful change. Finally, I endeavor to view my clients holistically and hold diagnostic labels lightly.

What you can expect from me

I meet my clients where they are at and seek to communicate in ways that will be most effective for whoever I work with. However, with that said, my default communication style blends elements of compassion, candor, humor, and sincerity. I provide a respectful and collaborative space where you will be intimately heard and appropriately challenged in service of your growth.
