Great to meet you!

I've worked with a lot of different populations throughout the years, starting off as a counselor for the Suicide Prevention Lifeline for over 3 years, and prior to that volunteered helping victims of crime in getting emotional and financial support for 2 years. I've always been an advocate for honest communication about mental health, especially topics of anxiety, depression, and suicide prevention, and participate in a lot of local community events to spread the word. I am a mom of 2 lovely babies and a big rowdy dog, as well as a wife to an amazing husband. I am proudly Hispanic of Cuban descent and hope my perspective and skills can encourage my clients to reach their goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is focused on empowering my clients to commit to their goals through a more positive mindset, as well as confront barriers that cause them to continue cycles of harmful decision-making. I meet my clients where they're at on their journey and accompany them forward, reflecting and analyzing together ways to improve and break down difficult steps. I like to use humor and a more casual approach to help my clients, because ultimately we're all people just trying to figure things out together.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a warm, open-minded, and judgment-free session focused on understanding their situation and getting to know them as people. I will be flexible with their needs and strive to find reasonable ways to meet goals together.
