Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California with experience providing bilingual (English/Spanish) therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Fresno, my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University, and I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. My background spans nonprofit organizations, county behavioral health, private practice, and healthcare, supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and other mental health concerns. I believe therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. I meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels comfortable while helping you build the tools to reach your goals.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is a team effort where you can feel heard, supported, and encouraged to grow. My approach is warm, honest, and based on what you need. I use Person-Centered Therapy along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care to help you better understand yourself, manage life’s challenges, and build healthy coping skills. I’m supportive and understanding, but I’m also straightforward. When I know you’re ready, I’ll challenge you with care and encourage you to step outside your comfort zone because that’s often where growth happens. I’ll meet you where you are, move at a pace that feels right for you, and provide a safe space where you can be yourself.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and what you hope to get out of our work together. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, but there’s no pressure to share everything at once. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and accepted. You can expect me to be warm, energetic, empathetic, and, when it feels right, use humor to help make the process feel a little less intimidating. Together, we’ll begin building a plan that fits your needs and goals, one step at a time.
