Great to meet you!

Life can feel overwhelming, especially when anxiety, stress, or familiar emotional patterns leave you feeling stuck or disconnected. Many of the adults I work with appear “fine” on the outside, while privately trying to make sense of their inner experience. If you’ve ever felt caught between knowing what’s happening and not quite knowing how to move forward, you’re not alone. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can slow down, understand what’s been weighing on you, and reconnect with yourself. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with adults seeking greater clarity, emotional steadiness, and self-understanding. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, with a focus on helping you notice and understand the patterns that keep showing up in your life. I draw from ACT, mindfulness, person-centered work, and CBT strategies, and we use these in a way that feels grounded and applicable to your daily experience. Together, we’ll explore what’s been getting in the way and develop simple, sustainable ways to feel more aligned and at ease.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is steady, thoughtful, and collaborative. Together, we’ll take time to understand what you’re experiencing, clarify the emotional patterns beneath it, and find ways of responding that feel more aligned with your life. I offer tools to help with anxiety, stress, and difficult or repetitive thoughts, while also supporting the deeper work of self-discovery and long-term emotional steadiness. My approach blends ACT, mindfulness, person-centered therapy, and CBT. Rather than applying these as techniques, we use them in a way that feels grounded and relevant to your day-to-day experience. Sessions are flexible and tailored to what you need in that moment. All therapy is provided online, offering a consistent and comfortable space where you can explore your inner experience at a pace that feels supportive.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin to understand what’s been feeling heavy or unclear. We’ll talk about what you’d like to be different, what feeling “more grounded” might look like for you, and gently explore what might support that. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out. We’ll move at a pace that feels steady and comfortable. You’ll leave with a few practical next steps, along with a clearer sense of how our work together might evolve over time. If you’d like something to reflect on between sessions, you’re welcome to explore the tools and writing on my blog at romano-lmhc.com/blog. If you’re looking for therapy that feels thoughtful, steady, and centered in self-understanding, I’d be glad to support you.
