Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Daniela Ruiz, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Arizona. I earned my Master of Counseling from Arizona State University and bring over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families across school, home, and clinical settings.

My path to becoming a therapist is deeply personal. I have my own lived experience navigating mental health challenges, which allows me to meet clients with genuine empathy, compassion, and understanding. I know how difficult it can be to seek support, and I honor the courage it takes to begin this journey. Healing is rarely linear or easy, but it is possible and you are worthy of it!

I am also a proud Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), which I believe enhances my ability to attune to my clients, build meaningful rapport, and create a safe, authentic, and judgment-free space where growth and healing can occur.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is strength-based, collaborative, and person-centered. I integrate tools from multiple evidence-based modalities to tailor treatment to the unique needs, values, and goals of each client. I believe you are the expert on your life, and my role is to walk alongside you—helping you build insight, resilience, and practical tools to nourish your mind, body, and soul.

I work with individuals and families navigating:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Trauma and life transitions
  • ADHD and neurodivergence
  • Emotional regulation and stress
  • Parenting and family dynamics
  • Identity, self-worth, and personal growth

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where we move at your pace. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brings you to therapy, and identifying what you hope to gain from our work together. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, validated, and supported, while also beginning to identify practical tools and next steps aligned with your goals.

Taking the step to start therapy is an act of courage. My intention is to help you feel safe, empowered, and supported as you move toward healing and the life you desire.
