Great to meet you!

I'm a bilingual therapist — I work in both English and Spanish — and I serve adults, couples, and families across New Orleans and Louisiana via telehealth. I bring both clinical training and genuine cultural understanding to my work, which means you don't have to simplify your story or explain your background before we can get to what actually matters. I specialize in anxiety, life transitions, divorce, postpartum support, and trauma, and I'm affirming of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC identities. My practice, Garden of Growth, is located in Uptown New Orleans on Canal Street, and I also see clients fully online throughout the state. I accept most major insurances and offer a sliding scale for those who need it.

My approach to therapy

I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and solution-focused methods, and I integrate a trauma-informed, multicultural lens into everything I do. In practice, this means our sessions are structured but flexible — we'll look at patterns of thinking and behavior while also honoring the full context of your life, your culture, and your relationships. I don't believe therapy should feel like a performance. You can bring what's actually going on — the complicated family dynamics, the identity questions, the relationship that's hanging by a thread — and we'll work with it honestly. For couples and families, I focus on improving communication, reducing conflict cycles, and building the kind of understanding that outlasts any single argument.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation, not an intake form. I'll ask about what's bringing you in, what's felt hardest lately, and what you'd like to be different. You won't need to have everything figured out before we meet — most people don't. We'll spend time getting to know each other, and I'll share a bit about how I work so you can decide if it feels right. By the end of our first hour, you'll have a clearer sense of what we might work on together and what therapy with me looks like in practice. If you prefer to start in Spanish, we can do that from the first word. No adjustment period required.
