Great to meet you!

Hello! I am so glad that you are here. I want to acknowledge how much courage it takes to seek out a therapist. My name is Danielle and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I strive to create a safe and trusting environment where personal growth, healing, and overall well-being can be achieved. Only through active listening, empathy, and genuine human connection can meaningful, long-lasting, and positive changes occur. It is an honor and a privilege to be invited into my client’s lives to help support them. I believe that every person has worth, and I am passionate about helping people live well. Empowering individuals to recognize that they deserve to live, laugh, and love as their genuine and authentic selves is important to me.

I have been working in the human behavior field for seventeen years and I have been a practicing social worker for the past ten years. I have had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan. My focus areas are palliative medicine, chronic or sudden illness, end of life, anxiety, depression, dementia, adoption issues, trauma, grief/loss, addiction, stress, and life transitions.

My approach to therapy

My approach to treatment is holistic and individualized. There is not a “one size fits all” approach to treatment. Just as individuals are dynamic and complex, treatment should be specific to meet the needs of each person. I use the following modalities in my practice: strengths-based therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, trauma informed approach, and behavior therapy.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is designed for you to begin to tell your story as a conversation. I do not use intake forms because I believe it is more meaningful to have a discussion. My clients and I collaborate to identify treatment goals. I respect that my clients know what will and will not work for them. Creating realistic concrete goals that set my clients up for success is the supportive role that I take when we are identifying goals. I believe in celebrating all progress and recognize that change takes time.
