Great to meet you!

My name is Danielle Besuden, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker(LICSW). I help clients find their way to a deeper understanding of themselves through a warm and open therapeutic relationship. I believe that all people can grow and develop in ways that bring them closer to their ideal selves. I have experience helping people cope with the impacts of complex trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic illness, life changes, and transitions.

I have a BA in Sociology from Brown University and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. My expertise comes from 15 year of experience in the field including additional training in trauma, ADHD, and anxiety.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is tailored to each client’s needs, but tends to begin with CBT approaches, and expanding to incorporate mindfulness, somatic, and ACT techniques as we move further into the therapeutic relationship.

What you can expect from me

During my first session with clients, my biggest priority is to understand your “why now” for therapy, as well as your goals for our time together. I create an open environment where you are able have time to express the feelings that you may have been hiding.
