Great to meet you!

Adulting is hard enough without your own mind getting in your way. What does it even want from you? Why do the things you try not work?

It can be frustrating and stressful to go through the same loop day after day. I get why you are ready to try something new. I help people get their unhelpful thoughts out of their way to they can behave more like the person they want to be. I can help you build the skills you need to respond to difficult thoughts in healthy and effective ways.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My goal in my career is to work myself out of a job with each person or couple I work with. I want you to be able to develop and maintain the skills you need so that you can become independent and effective even if I'm not around.

I use a variety of approaches tailored to your specific needs to help you meet your individualized treatment goals. My style is based on what research says works best to help you get where you want to go.

What you can expect from our first session

I want to work collaboratively with you to develop a toolkit of skills you can use to solve whatever obstacle life may throw your way. Through humor and curiosity, we can build your understanding of how our minds work and what your mind is trying (and often failing) to do for you. At the same time, we’re going to develop techniques that you can use to skillfully outmaneuver whatever nonsense your mind may get up to. I'd love to help you behave more like the person you want to be.
