Great to meet you!

Is your teen or young adult struggling with anxiety that's stopping them from living their life? Whether it’s relentless worry, panic attacks, or OCD rituals taking over their day, I understand how overwhelming it feels for the whole family. I'm Dr. Danielle Citera, a Clinical Psychologist specializing in helping adolescents and emerging adults master their anxiety, overcome trauma, and step into a life of confidence. Together, we'll shift the focus from fear to effective action, giving them the tools to not just manage but truly conquer their mental health challenges.

My approach to therapy

My practice is built on specialized, evidence-based treatments proven to work for anxiety, OCD, and trauma. I use gold-standard approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and most importantly, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. These aren't just talk therapy; they are active, skills-based methods designed to deliver measurable results. I offer a warm, collaborative space where young people can learn to tolerate distress, challenge their anxious thoughts, and engage with life on their own terms.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will include a psychosocial intake that will allow me to better understand you and your needs. From there, we will collaboratively set goals and develop a treatment plan to help you meet your goals!
