Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Danielle Cooke, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in New Jersey, Florida, Idaho, and Vermont. I offer virtual telehealth and in person therapy in Point Pleasant Boro, NJ.

For years, I’ve worked across community mental health, substance use treatment in both outpatient and residential settings, and group private practice. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of how complex, layered, and deeply human people’s struggles can be—and how important it is to have a space where you don’t have to hold it all together.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in working with young adults and adults navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, self-esteem, identity development, codependency, and patterns that keep people feeling stuck. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside, but internally feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of themselves.

What you can expect from me

My approach is participatory, insight-oriented, and practical. Therapy with me is not a passive experience—I’m engaged, present, and actively working alongside you. I draw from psychodynamic therapy, CBT, DBT, and attachment-based work to help you understand not just what you’re experiencing—but why. Together, we’ll explore patterns, relationships, and the beliefs you carry, while also building tools to manage emotions, set boundaries, and move through life with more clarity and confidence.

My style is warm, direct, and down-to-earth. I’ll meet you where you are, but I’ll also gently challenge you when needed—because real change doesn’t happen by staying comfortable.

If you’re looking for a space where you can slow down, make sense of things, and start showing up differently in your life, you’re in the right place.
