Great to meet you!

My objective is to cultivate a nurturing environment where you can openly explore and navigate life's challenges. I aim to understand you as the unique individual you are, fostering a collaborative journey towards relief and empowerment. This space is dedicated to you, where you're encouraged to express yourself authentically. Whether you're grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, grief, substance use, life transitions, relationship dynamics, or mood swings, I'm here to assist.

I have experience working with adolescents in various capacities for the past ten years. Teens and young adults who I work with are frequently struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, ADHD, low self-esteem, and difficulty in peer and family relationships. I strive to be playful, humorous, direct, compassionately challenging, and deeply understanding with everyone I work with.

My therapy practice is a safe place regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, neurodiversity, religion, and more.

I hold a MA in clinical mental health counseling from Adams State University, and have additional training in trauma informed care.

My approach to therapy

My goal is to get to know you as a unique individual and collaborate to craft a course of treatment that works for you. While I frequently draw from internal family systems, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, reality therapy, mindfulness, EMDR, and family system theories. I tailor my approach to meet each individual's unique needs.

I don't believe in being a therapist who only shows a blank expression. Instead, I believe in embracing our shared humanity as a means to forging a collaborative and authentic connection.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, I aim to help you capitalize on your strengths and positive qualities to help you reach your goals. Together, we can help you increase your self-confidence, find your voice, build motivation, develop coping skills to deal with life’s challenges, define your values, and create the change you seek. I hope that in meeting with me, you will experience a space to share that is warm, encouraging, and safe.
