Danielle Dougherty

Welcome! I’m Danielle, and I’m passionate about helping people cultivate stronger connections—with themselves and with the people they care about. My approach is down-to-earth, compassionate, and tailored to your unique journey. In our work together, you’ll develop a powerful “observing self” that allows you to step outside your usual patterns, get clear on your values, and align your life with what’s most important.

I specialize with a form of therapy called Brainspotting, which uses focused eye positions to tap into the brain’s deep emotional and physical healing processes. I have been trained with EMDR since 2007, but over time have found Brainspotting to be more helpful in processing relational trauma.

I also incorporate a lens of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which is an evidence based approach that helps people embrace difficult emotions, identify core values and take purposeful actions to improve their lives. I have a special interest in supporting adults navigating the effects of emotionally immature parents and overcoming relational trauma.
