Danielle Elleman

As a licensed clinical social worker for over 15 years, I believe in showing up with my clients as a partner in achieving their goals. I completed my degree at Columbia University School of Social worker and have a number of training and certificates related to working with people who have experienced trauma as well as restorative justice. My training includes working with acute trauma in a hospital setting as well as outpatient clinics working specifically with those who have experience sexual and relationship trauma.

In my practice, I use a trauma-informed and strength based approach. I seek to find the expert in my clients and be in partnership with them to accomplish their goals.

In the firsts session, a client can expect sharing some basic information about their reason for seeking support at this moment in their life, their goals for treatment, and when they have sought services in the past. Clients will not be expected to share all their past history in the first session but there will be questions about coping strategies, support network, resources, and risk to self and others.
