Great to meet you!

I'm Danielle, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I provide strength-based care for individuals navigating complex mental health challenges, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, personality disorders, PTSD and trauma, schizophrenia and psychosis disorders, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, mood disorders, and bipolar conditions. My practice is built on the fundamental belief that every person possesses inherent strengths and resilience, even in the midst of significant mental health struggles.

I'm drawn to working with complex patients because I see beyond diagnoses to the remarkable individuals who are courageously managing multiple challenges. Whether you're neurodivergent, have a trauma history, experience personality disorder symptoms, or manage psychotic symptoms, I approach our work together with curiosity about your unique strengths and capabilities rather than focusing solely on deficits or problems.

My treatment philosophy centers on collaboration and empowerment. I believe you are the expert on your own experience, and my role is to provide clinical expertise, support, and guidance while honoring your autonomy and preferences. Together, we'll explore how your conditions impact your life, identify your existing coping skills and strengths, and build upon these foundations to develop new strategies for managing symptoms and achieving your goals. What sets my practice apart is treating the whole person. Mental health conditions don't exist in isolation—they affect your relationships, work, creativity, and life goals. My aim is to help you live a meaningful life that reflects your values, not just manage symptoms. I'm here to support your journey with compassion and clinical excellence. Let's work together toward healing.

My approach to therapy

Psychiatry called to me because every person deserves attentive, compassionate, and truly exceptional mental health support, and my approach places you at the center of every decision we make together. I begin by truly listening, offering unhurried time to understand your unique story, your real concerns, and your deepest hopes. You're never defined by your struggles; you're a whole person with authentic strengths, values, and real potential for meaningful growth and transformation.

My practice blends evidence-based psychiatric care with holistic, whole-person wellness. Though highly experienced in medication management, I equally value our partnership and recovery-focused approaches. I share practical knowledge throughout our work, so you leave each visit feeling genuinely informed, empowered, and confident in guiding your own wellbeing. Together, we explore lifestyle, stress management, and coping strategies that build lasting wellness and strength.

I believe deeply in open, honest communication: explaining my reasoning clearly, presenting every option, and setting realistic expectations for your journey. I'm committed to culturally responsive care, recognizing that healing takes varied and meaningful forms across diverse communities. Your cultural background, beliefs, and lived experiences are essential to who you are, and I honor them with genuine, wholehearted respect and deep appreciation.

Healing is rarely simple or linear. I remain steadily present through hard seasons and meaningful milestones, because every step forward is real progress worth honoring and celebrating. Growth looks different for everyone, and I deeply respect all of it. What matters most is having a devoted partner who truly believes in your capacity to grow, heal, and recover fully. When appropriate, I warmly welcome family, loved ones, and collaborating providers, because human connection is a powerful and profoundly healing force.

What you can expect from me

From the very moment we begin, I bring genuine curiosity and warm, heartfelt empathy for whatever you bring. What matters most to me is understanding who you are and what you truly need right now. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship forms the real foundation of good psychiatric care, so I invite you to share your story in whatever way feels comfortable, trusting it will be received with complete openness, patience, and absolutely no judgment. There is truly no wrong way to begin.

Together we will explore what has been weighing on your mental health, how long things have felt difficult, what has shifted over time, and what finally moved you to reach out. I will also review your past treatment, including any medications, so I understand what has already been tried and how well each option worked for you. No concern is too small and no question is ever off-limits, this hour belongs entirely to you, to use in whatever way feels most helpful.

Your day-to-day life matters greatly here. We will talk openly about your work, your relationships, and any financial stress, because mental health cannot be separated from the world you move through each day. Our conversation about medication will be honest and thorough. I will explain how psychiatric medications actually work, offer clear options tailored specifically to you, and set realistic expectations around both benefits and side effects, addressing common myths and fears directly so every choice feels well informed.

My approach is deeply collaborative, meaning your preferences and any reservations will help shape our direction together. We will also explore supportive non-medication tools such as regular movement, mindfulness, and healthy sleep habits, since lasting wellbeing so often grows from small, consistent changes made steadily over time. You will leave with a personalized plan and real confidence in a provider who is deeply invested in your steady, ongoing progress.
