Great to meet you!

I have experience working with adults with a variety of concerns including major depression, anxiety, eating disorders, relationship issues, loneliness, and phase of life issues. I completed my post-masters training at the Maple Counseling Center in Los Angeles where I gained training, experience and supervision in psychodynamic therapy. After this, I completed my associate hours at Kaiser Permanente in their outpatient psychiatry department.

My approach to therapy

Personal and professional experience has led me to believe one of the greatest places for healing is when we are seen and heard by another. As an insight oriented, psychodynamic therapist, we will often look at past relationships and patterns as clues into present functioning. I am a relational therapist, meaning I do not show up as a blank slate and you will get to know who I am as well when appropriate. I am warm as well as open and direct, allowing clients to feel and express while also ensuring work is being done. I am a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) and utilize music therapy in sessions sometimes. I also like to utilize humor when appropriate.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment from the start. We will begin to get to know each other as well as discuss what brings you to therapy and what you're hoping to get from this process. We will also discuss any trepidations you may have with beginning therapy with someone new.
