I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey. I have experience providing individual and group therapy to adults in an array of settings such as Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient/Partial Hospitalization Programs, and residential settings. Additionally, I have experience providing therapy to at-risk youth and adolescents through Intensive In-Community work as well as Intensive Outpatient/Partial Hospitalization Programs.
My orientation to counseling is based on a cognitive behavioral (CBT) approach. I strongly believe in the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My goal is to help you understand that you don’t have to believe everything you think. During our time together, we will work on reframing negative or undesirable thoughts and identifying healthy coping skills to manage uncomfortable feelings.
During our time together, you will gain insight into how your thoughts affect your emotions and behaviors. You will learn healthy coping skills and work on implementing those coping skills into your everyday life.
