Great to meet you!

Danielle Overton-Miller is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to delivering quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health care to children, adolescents, and adults. She pairs strong clinical skills with a natural ability to build genuine rapport, grounding her practice in evidence-based guidelines while drawing on clinical experience, thoughtful observation, and well-honed intuition. As a PMHNP, her role is multifaceted — clinician, educator, therapist, and mental health advocate — and she brings all of it to bear in meeting each patient where they are. Her specialties include Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), weight management, genomic testing, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders, with additional focus areas spanning adolescent and teen issues, oppositional defiant disorder, dissociative identity disorder, infertility trauma, and women's mental health. She works with children (ages 5–12), teens (13–17), and adults (18–64). Now credentialed in both New York and Connecticut, Danielle offers virtual consultations that make attentive psychiatric care accessible across the states she serves. She earned her Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from D'Youville University.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and individualized. I take time to understand the full picture, your history, your goals, and what wellness means to you, then blend evidence-based treatment with clinical experience and ongoing observation. I work to build genuine rapport so you feel heard and empowered to make informed decisions about your care. My goal is always thoughtful, compassionate treatment that meets you where you are and helps you move toward clarity and wellness.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know you. We'll talk through what brought you in, your history, and your goals, and I'll answer any questions about how I work. My aim is a calm, judgment-free space where you feel comfortable being honest. You'll leave with a clear sense of my initial impressions and a preliminary plan for next steps, and goals we set together, as partners in your care.
