Great to meet you!

I am a first-generation, proud millennial, African American therapist who specializes in authenticity work, trauma, and high-acuity mood disorders. My approach is direct, compassionate, and culturally attuned. I believe healing begins when you feel genuinely seen, and I work to create a space where you can explore your story without judgment or pressure. My style is direct, compassionate, and as “real as it’s going to get”. I help clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves find clarity, confidence, and emotional freedom.

I hold a B.A. in Psychology from Southern Illinois University and an M.A. in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, with experience across community mental health, hospitals, government settings, and private practice.

My approach to therapy

In my work with clients, I aim to create a space that is both grounding and liberating. Whether we’re sitting together in an office or walking through one of Chicago’s neighborhoods, I show up with a direct yet validating style that invites honesty and fosters trust. I integrate a range of evidence-based and culturally responsive modalities, tailoring each intervention to meet clients exactly where they are.

What you can expect from me

My goal is always to help people move at their own pace, reconnect with their authentic selves, and build a future that aligns with their values rather than their fears.

One quote that guides my practice is: “It was not until I accepted myself just as I was, that I was free to change.” My goal is to help you experience that same shift and enjoy your journey toward healing, authenticity, and a life that feels like your own.
