What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming introduction. The provider will ask about the client’s reasons for seeking help, their mental and physical health, daily life, and goals. Clients are free to share only what they feel comfortable discussing—there is no pressure.

The provider will explain the approach to care, answer any questions, and discuss privacy and confidentiality. Clients will also be informed about their rights and asked to give consent to care, which means agreeing to participate in treatment after understanding what it involves.

Together, they will start to develop an initial care plan. The main goal of this first meeting is for clients to feel safe, respected, and supported as they begin their journey.
