Great to meet you!

I'm Danielle, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with high performers, athletes, and clients across the lifespan — teens, and adults. My work centers on an honest audit of your true values: exploring identity, understanding who you are and what you stand for, and bridging the gap between those values and the goals you're actually chasing. That gap is where burnout lives — especially when motivation is external. My aim is to help you build internal motivation, authentic presence, and a grounded sense of identity, so you can reach your full potential without losing yourself in the process.

I also walk with clients through grief and loss — because performance and pain often coexist, and both deserve space. I meet you with warmth, non-judgment, honesty, and humor. I will validate your story — and I will also, gently and warmly, move us from talking about the story to taking action. Together we'll build a life by your own design, focusing on what's actually within your control.

I earned my MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, with experience across education, special education, ABA therapy, and non-profit school-based services. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, family issues, and identity exploration — and I hold a particular commitment to culturally responsive care and affirming clients of every identity, including LGBTQ+ individuals and their families. As a Hispanic/Latinx clinician, this isn't an add-on to my practice; it's foundational to how I work. All are welcome here.

My approach to therapy

My approach starts with an honest audit of your values — not the ones you think you should have, but the ones you actually care about and live by. From there, we explore identity: who you are, what you stand for, and where the gap sits between that person and the goals you've been chasing. That gap is usually where burnout, anxiety, and grief quietly take root.

I blend evidence-based therapies like CBT and mindfulness with existential therapy, solution-focused work, and positive psychology. In practice, that means we'll identify triggers and recurring patterns, make room for the emotions that come up, and then build meaningful goals anchored to what genuinely matters to you — not to external pressure or someone else's definition of success.

Internal motivation lasts. External motivation burns out.

I'll validate your story, then, gently and warmly, move us from talking about the story to taking actionable steps to rewrite your new story— because insight alone doesn't change a life. Together we'll focus on what's actually within your control and build a life by your own design.

What you can expect from me

Therapy should be a space where you feel truly heard. I'll meet you with warmth, curiosity, non-judgment, and light-hearted humor. You don't need to have the answers when you arrive. In fact, you don't need to have anything figured out at all.

Our first session is about getting to know each other. I'll ask what brought you here, what you're hoping to change, and what's worked or hasn't in the past. You're welcome to ask me anything too — this is a two-way relationship, and fit matters.

By the end of the session, you should have a sense of whether I'm the right fit, and a clearer picture of what working together would actually look like. We won't just sit in the problem — we'll start mapping where you want to go and what steps get you there.
