Great to meet you!

Danielle Williamson, LISW-S, CTP is an independently licensed master's-level social worker licensed in the state of Ohio. She is a Certified Trauma Practitioner (CTP) through the STAR Global Network.

Danielle is passionate about providing compassionate, strengths-based, trauma-informed care that honors each client's unique experiences, values, and goals. She believes meaningful change begins by meeting clients where they are, fostering a safe, collaborative therapeutic relationship, and empowering individuals to recognize and build upon their existing strengths and resilience.

As a trauma therapist, Danielle provides comprehensive trauma assessments, trauma-informed care, and resilience-focused interventions using evidence-based practices, including SITCAP (Structured Sensory Interventions for Traumatized Children, Adolescents, and Parents). This specialized approach allows clients to safely process traumatic experiences through sensory memory, reducing trauma symptoms while strengthening resilience and promoting lasting healing.

Danielle has extensive experience providing mental health and substance use treatment to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She utilizes evidence-based interventions tailored to each client's unique needs, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Her therapeutic style is collaborative, authentic, and centered on helping clients develop practical skills, increase self-awareness, and create meaningful, sustainable change.

Originally from the small town of Defiance, Ohio, Danielle moved to the Cincinnati area over a decade ago. She earned her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University in 2013. Outside of her professional life, Danielle enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and caring for her pets.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is strengths-based, trauma-informed, collaborative, and individualized. I believe every client brings their own experiences, strengths, challenges, and capacity for growth into the therapeutic relationship. Rather than focusing solely on what is wrong or what needs to be “fixed,” I work with clients to identify what is already working, build upon their existing strengths, and develop practical tools to support meaningful change.

I believe in meeting clients where they are. I tailor my approach to each person's needs, readiness, goals, and unique circumstances. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, understood, and empowered to participate actively in their own healing.

Ultimately, my goal is to help clients move from simply surviving to developing a greater sense of self-understanding, confidence, resilience, and connection, while recognizing that progress looks different for everyone.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration. I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or even intimidating, so I work to create a space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. During our first session, we will talk about what brought you to therapy, what you are currently experiencing, and what you hope to get out of therapy.
