Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. D, and I help high-achieving professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, and leaders—including Indigenous and ethnic professionals—who are often successful in their careers but feel stuck and dissatisfied in other areas of life. Many clients struggle with work stress, relationship challenges, or daily life dissatisfaction despite professional accomplishments. I know what that feels like—having navigated my own challenges, I learned to break cycles of self-sabotage, set healthy boundaries, and communicate assertively. I bring both personal insight and professional expertise to help you get unstuck and move forward with confidence.

I hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and an MA in Professional Counseling, and I specialize in trauma, burnout, anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, and relationship difficulties. Using a direct, trauma-informed, integrative approach (Psychodynamic, ACT, CBT, SFBT), I guide clients to identify unhelpful patterns, build resilience, enhance self-esteem, and implement actionable strategies for lasting, meaningful change in daily life.

Therapy starts in the very first session. If you’re ready to reclaim your life, strengthen relationships, and create a more fulfilling, authentic life, let’s begin making progress together. Book your first appointment today!

My approach to therapy

I use a direct, trauma-informed, integrative approach combining Psychodynamic therapy (PD), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Many clients struggle with recurring patterns, burnout, anxiety, depression, or trauma that interfere with work and relationships. I help high-achieving professionals and executives identify these patterns, build resilience, strengthen boundaries, and apply practical, actionable strategies in daily life.

Therapy starts in the very first session, with a focus on real-world results and sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

Scheduling your first session is the first step, and facing the patterns that keep you stuck during the session is the next—it may feel challenging, but you’ll leave with clarity, insight, and actionable steps to begin meaningful progress toward healing, growth, and personal empowerment from the very first session.
