Great to meet you!

Hi there, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with eight years of experience in the mental health field. I received my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2008 from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, CA. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with many amazing clients, each bringing their own unique experiences and strengths.

Before transitioning into mental health, I spent over 20 years in leadership roles in Human Resources for several major corporations. This background gives me a unique perspective on relationships, workplace dynamics, and life transitions, which I incorporate into my work with clients.

I provide support to adults, focusing on African Americans and people of color (BIPOC), while welcoming of all racial and ethnic backgrounds. I help those navigating depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, life transitions, and other mental health concerns in a safe, judgement - free space where you are fully seen and heard.

My approach to therapy

My therapy style is collaborative, affirming and empowering. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution - Focused Therapy, trauma- informed and culturally responsive, and other evidenced-based approaches tailored to your needs. Together, we increase self-awareness, build practical tools, and develop coping skills that support emotional balance, resilence, and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we will focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. This is an opportunity to share your experiences, goals, and any concerns you may have. I will explain my approach, answer your questions, and collaborate with you to create a plan tailored to your needs.

My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and clear about the next steps in your therapeutic journey.
