Great to meet you!

As a licensed professional counselor with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals across the lifespan, I bring a deeply integrative and client-empowered therapeutic approach rooted in cognitive-behavioral and humanistic principles. My professional journey began in school counseling, where I cultivated a developmental lens and relational sensitivity that continue to inform my practice today. Since transitioning into private clinical work in 2022, I have refined a style that is both structured and warmly attuned to each client’s narrative.

My approach to therapy

My foundational framework draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I complement this with Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I further integrate experiential components from Gestalt therapy. Throughout my practice, I center the therapeutic alliance through client-centered therapy, using active listening, empathic validation, and unconditional positive regard. My approach is adaptable and responsive, honoring developmental stages, cultural identity, and faith-based values when relevant. I strive to provide clients with tools for resilience while fostering deeper self-understanding through collaborative reflection.

What you can expect from me

Clients that attend sessions with me can expect an atmosphere that is warm and inviting and allows them to feel free to express their thoughts and feelings. Clients can expect to experience assistance with restructuring of irrational thoughts and promoting behavioral strategies for emotional well-being. They can also expect to help with identifying strengths and constructively move toward meaningful goals. In therapy sessions I explore unconscious patterns and attachment themes to assist clients in achieving a healthier mental thought pattern. They can also expect empathetic listening and assistance in moving forward in life.
