Great to meet you!

I’m Daniel Fleischer, a licensed professional counselor with a background that includes 32 years in law enforcement. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Crisis Response and Trauma and have extensive experience working with first responders, veterans, medical professionals, couples, and individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. My approach is practical, supportive, and trauma-informed, incorporating Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy based on each client’s individual needs. I strive to provide a comfortable, judgment-free environment where clients can speak openly, develop effective coping skills, and work toward meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is straightforward, collaborative, and focused on meeting you where you are. I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable being yourself, so I strive to create a relaxed, judgment-free environment while also providing practical feedback and tools you can use outside of our sessions. I specialize in trauma and work extensively with first responders, veterans, couples, and individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. Depending on your needs, I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy to help you better understand what is keeping you stuck, build healthier coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a relaxed, judgment-free opportunity for us to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to counseling. We’ll discuss the concerns you’re facing, what you would like to see change, and begin developing realistic goals that are meaningful to you. I focus on creating a safe, comfortable environment where you can speak openly without feeling pressured or judged. By the end of the session, my goal is for you to feel heard and understood, with a clearer sense of what we will work toward together.
