Great to meet you!

I'm a white, neurodivergent, gay/queer trans man who primarily works with LGBTQ+ adults. I have 7+ years of experience working with queer and trans individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD and neurodiversity, identity, relationship issues, and internalized oppression. I'm an LMFT with a MA in counseling psychology and a background in LGBTQ+ community mental health. I have been running my own private practice since 2022. I'm grateful and see it as a privilege to walk beside you on your healing and growth journey.

My approach to therapy

I approach my work from a collaborative, open-minded, trauma-informed, and socially-just perspective that mostly draws from psychodynamic, narrative, and relational therapies. I believe the therapeutic relationship is crucial to effective psychotherapy and foster this by remaining non-judgmental and transparent. You're the expert of your story and experience; I am here to learn and guide. I like to focus on the present moment and look toward the future you want for yourself, all while being mindful of the past and its impact.

What you can expect from me

I don't have an agenda for any particular session, but I am happy to take the lead when needed. First sessions can be awkward! We can jump right in or take it slow. It may feel easier for me to ask questions to get things started and see what develops organically or maybe you know exactly where you want to start. I'm here for it all and we can work together to find our groove. I welcome feedback and questions, finding this helpful in fostering trust and safety within the therapeutic relationship while assuring we are working on what you want to work on.
