Great to meet you!

I'm Daphne, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 15 years of experience walking alongside people through some of life's most challenging seasons — postpartum depression, anxiety, grief, family strain, and the quiet weight of just trying to keep it together. I work with adults, children, and families, and I hold a special commitment to Black women, Haitian and Caribbean communities, and people of faith who want a therapist who meets them where they are — culturally and spiritually. I'm bilingual in English and Haitian Creole, and my background spans maternal mental health, community social work, and emergency medicine. That breadth means I understand crisis, I understand systems, and I understand people.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative and tailored — I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based practices, and psychodynamic work, choosing what fits each person rather than applying a formula. When a client's faith is central to who they are, I honor that — I'm experienced in Christian-informed therapy and believe spirituality can be a genuine resource in healing, not a topic to avoid. For new and expecting mothers, I bring specialized perinatal training that helps untangle what's hormonal, what's relational, and what needs deeper support. Above all, I work at your pace. Therapy doesn't have to feel clinical or distant — mine rarely does.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a conversation, not an evaluation. Come as you are — you don't need to have the right words or know exactly what you want to work on. I'll start by listening: what brought you here, what's been weighing on you, what you're hoping changes. We'll talk about what's worked before, what hasn't, and what kind of support would feel most meaningful. By the end of our first session, you'll have a sense of where we might go together — and ideally, you'll leave feeling heard rather than assessed. Sessions are via telehealth, so you can join from wherever feels comfortable to you.
