Great to meet you!

Daphne is passionate about the healing arts and, from a young age, knew she wanted to serve others on the journey of returning to wholeness. Daphne is the Founder and Director of Heart’s Content Healing Arts, where she serves as a teacher, counselor, and guide. Daphne is a mother, musician, yogi, visual artist, and equestrian. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology, is a Registered Yoga Teacher, has a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, and specializes in treating grief, loss, and trauma as a Licensed Clinical Counselor. Daphne is a supervisor for the Kentucky Board of Counseling. She was a Licensed Banker from 1999 through 2009 and has been practicing counseling since 2010. Daphne utilizes a variety of evidence-based healing modalities fused with alternative techniques. Daphne attended the University of Louisville, the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, and Capella University. Daphne considers herself a lifelong student, most recently studying equine-assisted healing practices, sound healing, trauma-informed yoga, and shamanism. Daphne started her private practice, Heart’s Content Counseling, in 2017, and in 2023 expanded to a group practice. Most recently, she opened Heart Space Om, a yoga studio. Daphne strives to help people discover their true nature and cultivate compassionate, transformational change.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Daphne has a compassionate, integrative, trauma-informed approach to healing, and embodies both holistic and traditional treatment methods. She provide foundational supportive services incorporating transformative techniques rooted in the healing arts. Daphne offers mental health counseling, yoga, expressive arts, mindfulness methods, meditation, sound healing, and nature-based services. Her nurturing guidance empowers clients to return to their true nature. With the clients she serves, Daphne uses DBT, IFS, EMDR, and IFS informed EMDR as evidenced based modalities for transformation and growth.
