Great to meet you!

If you've spent much of your life feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, different, or exhausted from trying to fit into expectations that don't feel right for you, therapy can offer a space to better understand yourself and build a life that works for who you truly are. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in cycles of anxiety, OCD, trauma responses, burnout, self-doubt, or emotional overwhelm. Others are navigating ADHD, identity exploration, chronic illness, LGBTQIA+ experiences, relationship challenges, or life transitions and are looking for a place where they can show up authentically without judgment.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I work with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds, with a special focus on neurodivergent individuals, LGBTQIA+ clients, and those navigating trauma, chronic health concerns, and identity-related challenges. My goal is to help you better understand your experiences, build on your strengths, develop effective coping tools, and create a life that feels more aligned with your values, needs, and sense of self.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, affirming, and deeply person-centered. I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to explore their experiences with curiosity, self-compassion, and authenticity. Rather than viewing challenges as personal flaws, I help clients understand how past experiences, nervous system responses, relationships, environments, and life circumstances may be contributing to current struggles.

I draw from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), EMDR, Somatic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Positive Psychology, Behavioral Therapy, and Relational approaches. Together, we'll explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, strengthen emotional regulation, build self-understanding, process traumatic experiences, develop healthier coping skills, and create practical strategies that support long-term growth and well-being. Therapy is always tailored to your unique goals, experiences, and identity.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to begin building a genuine and supportive therapeutic relationship. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope will be different in your life moving forward. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, affirmed, and comfortable showing up as your authentic self.

As we work together, you can expect warmth, collaboration, humor, and compassion. Clients often leave therapy with greater self-awareness, increased confidence, healthier relationships, stronger coping skills, and a deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences. My hope is that therapy helps you feel more empowered, connected, and equipped to navigate life's challenges while embracing who you are.
