Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Darby a Licensed Professional Counselor. I specialize in working with adults who experience symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and depression. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own experiences. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout your healing journey.

What makes my approach unique is my commitment to learning from you and honoring your individual experiences. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and my role is to offer guidance, support, and tools while empowering you to discover your own strengths and capacity for growth.

I am passionate about this work because I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and become the best version of themselves. It is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they navigate the effects of past experiences, build resilience, and move toward a more fulfilling and connected life.

My approach to therapy

Together, we will work to develop practical coping skills to manage current symptoms while addressing the deeper experiences that may be contributing to your struggles. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), to support emotional regulation, trauma processing, and lasting healing. I ensure a trauma-focused approach in all of the work we will do together.

What you can expect from me

n our first session, my priority is to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing what has brought you to therapy. Together, we will explore your concerns, identify your goals, and begin developing a personalized roadmap for healing that reflects your unique needs, values, and priorities. Throughout this process, your voice and experiences will guide our work, allowing us to build a strong therapeutic foundation and move toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you.
