Darcy Akins

I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, and bring over six years of dedicated psychiatric nursing experience caring for diverse populations within acute mental health settings. That time spent on the front lines of psychiatric care gave me a deep and lasting empathy for how mental health conditions ripple through not just an individual's life, but their entire family system. I carry that understanding into every patient interaction.

My clinical interests include ADHD, Autism, OCD, PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and mood disorders. I take an integrated approach to wellness — I view medication not as a solution in itself, but as a supportive tool to help you work toward your own personal goals and vision for your life.

At the heart of my practice is a deep respect for your lived experience. I show up for every patient with compassion, curiosity, and a holistic perspective — because healing is rarely one-dimensional.
