Great to meet you!

I am Darian Newbeck, a licensed clinical social worker helping adults work through addiction, trauma, and the patterns that keep repeating. I am not a clipboard-and-turtleneck therapist. I’ll be compassionate, hold space for the messy parts, and I won’t just tell you what you want to hear.

Evening and weekend appointments available. Online across Florida, Massachusetts, and Texas. In person in Wellington and Fort Lauderdale.

My approach to therapy

The question people ask me most before booking is some version of: will you be gentle with me,

or will you push me? Both.

As a clinician it is my job to walk you through the hardest parts of life and help you get the things you want out of life. I’m not here to recreate the relationships that taught you therapy meant being judged, controlled, or talked down to. If you have built something that is not working, I will point at it, and then you get to decide what you want to do about it. I think of therapy a little like walking through a museum together. You bring in the pieces of your life—the beautiful, the broken, the things you’d rather hide. We look at them together, get curious about what they mean, and you decide what you want to keep, change, or leave behind.

A few other things worth knowing:

● No topic is off limits.

Whatever you have been carrying that felt too strange or too shameful to say out loud, you can say it here.

● You can ask me for what you need.

You have a voice in how we do this work. You

get to tell me what you need, what isn’t working, and what you want to try instead. My

job isn’t to have all the answers or expect you to adapt to my way of doing things. We

can repair it, adjust the approach, and keep going.

● I will match your effort.

If you keep showing up and doing the work, so will I. We move in step, and nobody gets left behind.

● I am a therapist, not your friend.

My job is to create enough safety that you can finally stop managing everyone else and pay attention to yourself.

What you can expect from me

If you have been to therapy before and left with nothing but a breathing exercise, I understand the frustration. You already breathe all day. You came for more than that. My clients leave sessions with something they can actually use. How to notice a pattern before it runs its course. How to say the hard thing to someone you love. How to sit with a feeling without acting on it. You know your life. I know therapy. Together, we use both to figure out what makes sense for you.
