Darica Sims

Hey! My name is Darica and as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I know that your mental health will find a way to impact every aspect of your life, and prioritizing it will be one of the most life-giving decisions you make for yourself. So, I'm already proud of you taking the first step! I've been practicing about 4 years, I work primarily with adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, identity, relationships, and faith issues. I also have experience working with a both neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals.

I believe that no one is meant to carry anything alone and when it comes to your care, it shouldn't be determined alone either. Together we will decide what your therapeutic journey should look like and what the best path to meaningful change is for you. It's important that we are able to communicate openly and clearly, a develop a strong trust and respect in our relationship. I will be here to listen, challenge, and support you. As long you show up, I'll show up.

The first session will be an introduction, where we will explore what brought you to counseling and what your ultimate goals are for therapy. We don't have to have everything figured out in the first session, so if you aren't sure, that is totally okay! We'll figure it out together! Honesty will be one of our greatest assets, even in the hardest moments. I will always strive to make the therapeutic environment a warm, supportive and safe place to address every barrier to you making your goals a reality.
