Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Darlene! I'm a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor and proud Latina with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I'm passionate about creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are: without judgment or pressure to have it all figured out.

I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges related to attachment styles. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I'll meet you where you are while also gently challenging you when it helps you grow. I believe therapy can be both meaningful and enjoyable, and my goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can be your authentic self: a place where you feel safe, supported, and accepted, while also being encouraged to grow. My style is warm, collaborative, and conversational, so our sessions won't feel overly clinical or intimidating.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and attachment-based approaches to help you better understand the patterns, beliefs, and relationship dynamics that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we'll explore where these patterns come from, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and develop healthier ways of coping and connecting with yourself and others.

My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, empowered, and equipped with practical tools that support lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about getting to know you and creating a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore your current concerns, and discuss what you hope to gain from our work together.

I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, background, and goals, but there's no pressure to share everything at once. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is important to me, and my goal is for you to leave your first session feeling understood, comfortable, and hopeful about the work we'll do together.
