Great to meet you!

I am a licensed mental health therapist in New York State with over 30 years of professional counseling experience working in a variety of settings. I have been the associate director of a university counseling center for 20 years, and have a passion for working with college students/young adults. While I do not have one particular area of expertise, I have had great success helping clients better manage anxiety symptoms, cope with depression, and learn effective ways to manage their emotions.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

What you can expect from our first session

You can expect to be met with genuine unconditional positive regard as we work at your pace in meeting your therapy goals. I believe therapy happens in and outside of the session, so I invite my clients to do "homework" to strengthen what they are learning in our sessions.
