Great to meet you!

I am genuinely curious about people and their stories, and I value creating a space where you can talk openly about what’s motivating you, what’s been hard, and what you’re hoping will change. My training includes a bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology, a master’s degree in social work, and a Ph.D. in counseling and psychological studies, with a focus on trauma and crisis work. I am a licensed clinical social worker and trauma counselor who works with children, teens, and women, including those impacted by violence and complex trauma. I have practiced with bereavement and loss in children and sex-trafficked teens. My work is grounded in compassion, safety, and empowerment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is rooted in connection and education. I believe understanding your experiences, past and present, can be a powerful part of healing. Therapy is a safe, clinical relationship where we explore triggers, relationships, and patterns that may no longer be serving you, while gently building new ways to cope. I often use solution-focused strategies to challenge old patterns. With children, I incorporate play-based approaches to help them express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building trust. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, review some background and intake information, and explore what you’re hoping for from this process. You’re welcome to ask questions along the way. By the end of the session, you should have a clearer sense of whether we’re a good fit and how we might move forward together.
