Great to meet you!

If you're carrying the weight of a major life change, grief that hasn't had room to breathe, or anxiety and depression that keep showing up no matter what you try, you're not alone. For nearly 10 years, I've worked alongside people in some of the hardest chapters of their lives, from homeless shelters to substance use recovery. That experience shaped how I show up: I don't assume I know what you need. I ask.

I'm of Caribbean descent and bilingual in Haitian Creole and English. I got into this field specifically to push back against the stigma mental health carries in many Caribbean communities. If you grew up somewhere that expected you to struggle quietly, this can be a space where you don't have to.

My approach to therapy

I meet you where you are, then gently guide you toward where you want to go. My work draws on solution-focused, strengths-based, and motivational approaches, which means we spend more time building on what's already working than analyzing what went wrong. I'll challenge you when you're ready for it. But you have to be willing to step outside your comfort zone. That part is on you.

What you can expect from me

Day one is a two-way conversation, not an intake form. We'll talk about what brought you in, what you're hoping to feel or do differently, and what direction you want these sessions to follow. I'll share what you can expect from me and ask what you need from a therapist. If you're nervous, that's completely normal. Most people are, and that's a fine place to start.
