Great to meet you!

I’m Neka McGrew, a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience helping children, teens, and adults manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.

I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology, a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling, and I’m pursuing my doctorate in Counselor Education/Educational Psychology.

My approach is warm, supportive, and goal-focused—I believe therapy should be a safe space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best as a collaborative process where you feel safe, supported, and understood. My style is warm and nonjudgmental, and I tailor sessions to your unique needs using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral techniques, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused strategies.

Together, we’ll set meaningful goals, build on your strengths, and work toward creating balance and lasting change in your life.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with practical tools, greater self-awareness, and a clearer sense of direction.

My goal is to help you feel supported while also giving you strategies you can use in everyday life—whether that’s managing stress, improving relationships, or navigating difficult emotions.

Over time, you’ll gain confidence in your ability to cope, heal, and grow.
